While the heroine of Lakshmana – Meghana Raj was absent on Saturday night 50 days event of the film at Shangrila Hotel, a day before for ‘Zoom’ 50 days actress Radhika Pandit had pertinent reason (her engagement) to keep away but reason was not known for Aditi Rao with just two films (Dove and Akira) to her credit absent at the 100 days meet of Akira Kannada film at Citadel Hotel. In three days 3 Kannada films celebrated joy of success is a happy note as of now.

However, the 50 days of Anoop Revanna debut film ‘Lakshmana’ was held in a grand style by R Chandru a tasteful maker. The Public TV supreme Mr H R Ranganath made it to the event despite of busy schedule first and after he left the venue group editor of prestigious daily Udayavani Mr Ravi Hegde spend time at the rendezvous of ‘Lakshmana 50’ event and got pat for his observation from rebel star Dr Ambarish.

Heavy weight politician HM Revanna in his address stated that his son Anoop left engineering at the fourth year and expressed wish of cinema acting to my wife Vatsala. I have given complete freedom when he told that he is learning Kungfu from China. Today 50 days makes me feel proud of my son. It is running Sapna and 10 other theatres he pointed.

Mr HR Ranganath, chief of Public TV said the rush of films in Kannada is a fear factor. It is time to control such excess releases and stop infighting between Kannada films he pointed. He advised his long time friend HM Revanna to set his son free and progress in cinema.

Mr Ravi Hegde, group editor of Udayavani Kannada daily recalling association of director R Chandru all films with the newspaper said first take off for Anoop is impressive. We have seen many actors shining not in first film but later on. He is sitting today with ‘Diggajaru’ like Ambarish and Jai Jagadish – let the wind blow to him to long innings. He wished Anoop to become all rounder in cinema. HM Revanna has strong acquaintance in politics and Anoop has bright future mentioned RH.

KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu in his address that the producers today should not misguide by giving wrong collection figures. This would eventually push the newcomers to wrong way. The media should inquire on such figures quoted before putting on print he opined. One Mungaru Male has stalled 250 Kannada films in the past. The gimmick of producers should stop at any cost he felt. My son name is also Anoop. HM Revanna my 30 years long friend son name is also Anoop – they should win in their attempts. I have liked this evening because HM Revanna has invited his mentor KM Nagaraj (he came on wheel chair to the event) and Dr Ravi Verma stunt director invited his Guru first to sit for felicitation and then he took the mementos – such things are memorable said Sa Ra Govindu.

I have the feel of satisfaction of my son succeeding in first film – Dr Ambarish stated on the success of Anoop Revanna first film at the 50 days event. For me HM Revanna is ‘Aptha Mithra’. Off late newcomers are making efforts to succeed. Ambarish quoted Thithi and Godibanna….as examples. In the earlier days for Kannada films there was tough fight from Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films in 10 feet difference in Kempe Gowda Road with theatres like Geetha, Triveni, Alankar, Movie land, Kapali, Sagar, Menaka, Himalaya and Kempe Gowda occupying non Kannada films – MG Road No.1 area then not screened one Dr Rajakumar film – yet we survived Dr Ambarish remembered.

The arrangements for the presentation of 50 days mementoes were held with good discipline. A trophy, shawl and garland were part of felicitation. Top director SK Bhagwan, Dr Doddarange Gowda and well wishers of HM Revanna were part of the grand event.

Director R Chandru and hero Anoop Revanna had no chance to speak on this occasion on a long driven event of two hours for 50 days of ‘Lakshmana’.
